Back to the Chattahoochee River Race & FestivalPaddlers of all ages and skill levels will take to the water at the Annual Back to the Chattahoochee River Race and Festival. Organized and presented by Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (CRK) in partnership with the National Park Service and the City of Roswell, the event celebrates the Chattahoochee and fosters a sense of community around the river.
Bomb down an eight-mile course strewn with Class I and II rapids in this fun race, held about an hour north of Atlanta. Dress up yourself or your boat for a shot at the Best Costume and Best Boat Decoration awards. Need extra incentive to get to the finish line fast? The SweetWater Beer Barge will meet you there with sodas, water, and SweetWater brew before you head back to shore to enjoy the festival, which includes a farmer’s market, local artisans, live music, and a host of activities for kiddos.
